I’m not one to experiment much with food, I rarely ever try something completely new. My rule of thumb is that if it’s got chicken in it, then it has to be good.
I like food (a lot) but I like to really enjoy what I eat. Usually, it’s not very difficult to find something close to my native dishes. I tired Paella in Barcelona because it looks a lot like the Nigerian Jollof Rice and it has a similar taste. Paella is a rice dish which originated in Valencia in the east coast of Spain. It is regarded as the Spanish national dish.
I’m hoping that in my subsequent trips, I’m brave enough to explore more local foods. I did have a few ‘firsts’ in Europe. Some were a win, others, not so much
