So, Lagos is turning 50 this month, so it’s only fitting that it would be the first city we discuss on ‘Through Our Eyes – destination spotlight’. I think virtually everyone who lives here as a sort of love-hate relationship with the city. Lagos can be maddening and deafening! You only need to spend a few minutes in snail-moving traffic to grasp the full extent what I am talking about. But Lagos can also be fun and exciting and we get to talk about all these in our latest video.

We hope you enjoy watching it. Remember, you can always join the conversation on our channel by leaving us a comment. Let us know how you would plan a 24hr stay in Lagos. Don’t forget to subscribe too.

If you had someone visiting Lagos for only 24hrs, what would your itinerary look like?

  1. Hi! I am so happy to have found your blog ;). In October me and my boyfriend will travel to Nigeria. He is from Nigeria (Lagos) and i am from Holland. We would love to visit a beach place and in this video you talk about Tarkwa beach, how nice it is there and you can surf and show some photo’s of a resort. It looked so nice. Can you tell me the name of the place? Also i read you went to Omo reservation and stayed one night there. How could i organise this? Looking forward to your response.

    • Hi Suzanne, it’s great to have you here.Since your boyfriend is Nigerian, he will definitely be able to show you around a bit.. Tarkwa bay is quite nice, I see lots of surfers like it too and there’s a little cabin next to the beach where you can stay overnight. I haven’t been there personally but my friends from Unravellingnigeria.com have. They would have more information about this.

As for Omo Forest Reserve, this was a group trip organized by Unravelling Nigeria as well. You can reach out to them via their website or on Instagram if you’re on that platform.

  2. I certainly do have a love-hate relationship with the city of Lagos.
