Golden leaves, crisp mountain air, and views so good you have to pull over every five minutes just to stare 🍂✨
We hiked parts of the Appalachian Trail, which felt so surreal because seven years ago, Mark thru-hiked the entire thing - 3,540kms in just 4.5 months. He had to finish fast so he could move to Lagos to be with me 🥹
Now here we are, 5+ years married, hiking these same trails again (not all of it please!), loving to hate it - in the most beautiful season with the most perfect weather. I’m deep in my feelings today - and honestly, just grateful.
Also, congratulations to me because I really carried my eye go market, and congratulations to Mark for marrying me. When he did this trail alone, he saw no views, no golden leaves, no elk… just mosquitoes and rain. I am constantly bringing sunshine into his life 🌞
Snippets from a dreamy fall weekend in Asheville 🍂🎃
We drove down from Chapel Hill and instantly fell in love with the city’s artsy charm - from colourful murals to cosy cafés and restaurants, everything felt so vibrant and fun! People were genuinely friendly, and it was such a joy to simply wander around.
We watched the sunrise over the Blue Ridge Mountains, admired the stunning fall colors, explored the River Arts District, and spent a peaceful evening at the North Carolina Arboretum. Wrapped it all up with a comedy show that was actually funny - the perfect end to a lovely weekend. ✨
A stunning lodge, set smack in the middle of a private island on the Nile River - surrounded by powerful rapids and nature sounds...
Each moment spent here was an adventure in itself.
Lemala Wildwaters Lodge, Uganda 🇺🇬
Slow living in the Kenyan countryside - campfires and smores, horses and local furry friends, waterfalls and gorgeous hiking trails... spending a few days without screens or WiFi connection... it was bliss! 🍃✨️
