5 Reasons Why Nigeria Travel Sucks!

Urgh! Leisure travel within Nigeria? Now, who would ever want to do that? The very sound of it is almost…almost unthinkable! unfathomable! */insert your own adjectives here/*. In the spirit of looking out for your best interests, here are five reasons why you should absolutely not plan your next vacation within Nigeria.

Good day Mr Chairman, Panel of Judges, Accurate Time Keeper, my Co-Debaters and my ever attentive audience. I’m here to support the motion which says ‘Nigeria Travel Sucks!’ What is Nigeria Travel? Nigeria Travel is… okay, I digress. Let’s just get to it.

Beautiful places are a Myth

So, all these places are sort of okay but you know what would be better? If we just lift them off to a different country.

Nigeria travel can be cheap & quite affordable

Did you ever hear of anyone who wanted to travel on a budget?

There’s nothing to do here

The situation is so bad, it has its own website!

No art, history, culture or tradition

Absolutely none!

Nigerians!

These species must never be interacted with!

Ladies and gentlemen, with these few points of mine, I hope that I have been able to convince you and not confuse… hmmm, okay maybe this is a bit confusing…

I love to hear from you, Leave a comment here!

That is why I created a simple, no stress planning guide ✍🏽 that breaks everything down into 15 key frameworks you actually need 🗺️ The best part is most major cities cover several of these, or they are just a short trip away from a main hub 🚄

If you want the full breakdown, comment "Japan Itinerary" or "Planning Guide" 💬 and I will send you the link to my detailed blog post 🔗

Save this for later 📌, share it with your travel buddy 👯🏾‍♀️, and follow for more practical Japan travel tips ✨

January - especially the second week is such a fun travel time for me! I find lots of deals and in many places, the weather is still great - but the Christmas and New Year crowds have left!

This is your reminder to set some money aside for January - whether you're travelling or not!

Tag your travel buddy who needs this reminder before December spending gets wild 💸

Set aside a small percent of your earnings in December. It makes January feel lighter and if you love to travel, January (after the first week) is almost always a good time to do so!

There are lots of deals, weather is great in many places and the crowds would start heading home!

Are you team January travel or no?

Idea for your 2026 travel year: A Kenya + Uganda combo trip!

Start with sunrise safaris in Tsavo National Park 🦁, unwind on Kenya’s dreamy coastline in Diani or Watamu 🌊🌴 and enjoy the pulse of city life in Nairobi ☕.

Then head to Uganda for misty treks with gorillas 🦍, and slow days near Lake Victoria ⛰️

From beaches to mountains, wildlife to culture, this combo is perfect for travellers who want variety without rushing. Save this if you’re planning a Kenya Uganda itinerary and ask me anything you'd like to know about visiting both countries!✨
