I started travel blogging sometime in 2015 to inspire Nigerian travellers to explore the country and beyond. A decade later, I'm still on it - even when it seems like blogging may be a thing of the past (NEW POSTS EVERY TUESDAY ๐Ÿ˜‰) ๐Ÿ“– I keep at it because I love it. It's a creative outlet for me and a sort of diary from all my travels. I feel so grateful to be able to continue doing this as a hobby. In a world where the constant messaging is to monetise your passions and hobbies or quit your job, I wonder, do people still do things just for the fun of it? Just because you enjoy it? I'm glad content creation remains a hobby for me ๐Ÿ“ˆ I never have to worry or complain about low views or reach: I love when you all visit my page or read my blog. Not going to lie, it does make me happy. But even if there was just one reader, I'd be content to keep at it! ๐Ÿ˜ด I can log off and come back whenever I want: I'm not nervous about taking breaks from social media and it's been great for my mental health and productivity! ๐Ÿ‘ฃ I still enjoy my travels fully because Iโ€™m not creating for pressure ๐Ÿง–๐Ÿพโ€โ™€๏ธ I can take do nothing holidays without feeling guilty ๐ŸŽ‰ Every idea feels fun instead of feeling like work: no deadlines, no pressure about a piece of content 'failing'... I obviously know this is not the reality for everyone but if you're out there wondering whether you are the outlier, whether you should be doing "more" - when in fact you already are, well, welcome. Because me too!

Tired of the usual tourist spots? You have to check out Suwon, South Korea, home to the incredible Hwaseong Fortress (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) - and you have to stay the night! ๐ŸŒ™ Getting here is super easy - just hop on the subway from Seoul, and in about an hour, you're stepping back into history. There are also super comfortable buses (which I used during my stay) Some of my favourite memories here include: โ›…๏ธ Walking the Suwon Fortress Wall (the views are pretty wonderful, especially at sunset) โ˜•๏ธ Finding the best cafes in the city ๐Ÿ“š Visiting the Starfield Library ๐Ÿ‘ฃ Just walking around the city Suwon is the perfect blend of historical charm and modern Korean city life, and it's easily one of the best day (or overnight) trips from Seoul. Enough said! Incredibly hospitable owners - this is what I remember the most about this place ๐Ÿ’™โฃ โฃ ๐Ÿ•๐๐–๐‘ ๐’๐ž๐ฌ๐ซ๐ข๐ž๐ฆ ๐‚๐š๐ฆ๐ฉ๐ฌ๐ข๐ญ๐ž: car camping here was a delight. Early entrance and late exit to Sossusvlei was a plus but the camp itself was great too!โฃ โฃ ๐Ÿ‰๐…๐ฎ๐ซ๐š๐ก๐š ๐‡๐จ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ž, ๐ƒ๐ข๐š๐ง๐ข: an incredibly joyful and romantic stay. From rustic campsites to elegant retreats, every stay was special and unforgettable in their own way โœจ๏ธโฃ โฃ These are my favourite memories from the places listed here - in no particular orderโฃ โฃ ๐ŸŒค๐‹๐ž๐ฆ๐š๐ฅ๐š ๐–๐ข๐ฅ๐๐ฐ๐š๐ญ๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ ๐‹๐จ๐๐ ๐ž, ๐Š๐š๐ง๐ ๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ฎ๐ฆ๐ข๐ซ๐š: falling asleep each night to the sound of rushing waters was the perfect lullaby and every sunrise here felt like a giftโฃ. โฃ ๐Ÿฆ’๐•๐จ๐ข๐ ๐ญ๐ฅ๐š๐ง๐ ๐†๐ฎ๐ž๐ฌ๐ญ๐ก๐จ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ž, ๐–๐ข๐ง๐๐ก๐จ๐ž๐ค: a guesthouse with giraffes? Enough said! An excellent stay, beautiful sunsets, even more beautiful sunrises.โฃ โฃ ๐ŸŽˆ๐‹๐จ๐œ๐š๐ฅ ๐‚๐š๐ฏ๐ž ๐‡๐จ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ž, ๐‚๐š๐ฉ๐ฉ๐š๐๐จ๐œ๐ข๐š: pool views for days! Incredibly hospitable owners - this is what I remember the most about this place ๐Ÿ’™โฃ โฃ ๐Ÿ•๐๐–๐‘ ๐’๐ž๐ฌ๐ซ๐ข๐ž๐ฆ ๐‚๐š๐ฆ๐ฉ๐ฌ๐ข๐ญ๐ž: car camping here was a delight. Early entrance and late exit to Sossusvlei was a plus but the camp itself was great too!โฃ โฃ ๐Ÿ‰๐…๐ฎ๐ซ๐š๐ก๐š ๐‡๐จ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ž, ๐ƒ๐ข๐š๐ง๐ข: an incredibly joyful and romantic stay. A pastel paradise on the Kenyan coast.โฃ โฃ ๐Ÿ’๐„๐ง๐ญ๐ž๐›๐›๐ž ๐…๐จ๐ซ๐ž๐ฌ๐ญ ๐‹๐จ๐๐ ๐ž: Surrounded by nature, a beautiful oasis in a busy city ๐Ÿƒโฃ โฃ ๐Ÿฅ‚๐…๐Ž๐”๐‡๐€ ๐๐š๐ญ๐ซ๐จ๐ฎ๐ง: A exceptionally welcoming guesthouse that feels a lot like home.โฃ ______ โฃWhat I love most is how every stay left me with something to treasure.
