As a Nigerian, I know the drill all too well - endless embassy queues, document, the anxiety of waiting for approval ✅️, and on and on it goes... After visiting multiple countries with my Nigerian passport, I've narrowed down the destinations that made the visa process a breeze! Tired of the usual tourist spots? You have to check out Suwon, South Korea, home to the incredible Hwaseong Fortress (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) - and you have to stay the night! 🌙 Getting here is super easy - just hop on the subway from Seoul, and in about an hour, you're stepping back into history. There are also super comfortable buses (which I used during my stay) Some of my favourite memories here include: ⛅️ Walking the Suwon Fortress Wall (the views are pretty wonderful, especially at sunset) ☕️ Finding the best cafes in the city 📚 Visiting the Starfield Library 👣 Just walking around the city Suwon is the perfect blend of historical charm and modern Korean city life, and it's easily one of the best day (or overnight) trips from Seoul.
