And I couldn't get enough of this gorgeous mountain! I saved a visit to the Fuji Five Lakes area for my second trip to Japan - and spent 3 nights in the area. Mount Fuji was clear and visible throughout our stay! Morning, afternoon and evening! It was phenomenal! I read that Fuji-san is only visible about 80 days of the year. I guess we were lucky to have this majestic view for 4 consecutive days!

Modern, but with all the characteristics of a traditional hanok? Yes, please!⁣ ⁣ 🐘 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐢 𝐋𝐚𝐢 𝐎𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐝, 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐌𝐚𝐢: Rustic accommodation in the mountains of Chiang Mai. Elephants, riverside fun, friendly people, good food! Thailand is amazing and this is one reason why!⁣ ⁣ 🦍 𝐋𝐚 𝐋𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚, 𝐌𝐮𝐬𝐚𝐧𝐳𝐞: a relaxing and cosy gateway to Volcanooes National Park. ⁣ ⁣ 🌻 𝐓𝐚𝐰𝐢 𝐋𝐨𝐝𝐠𝐞, 𝐀𝐦𝐛𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐢 (𝐋𝐨𝐢𝐭𝐨𝐤𝐭𝐨𝐤): a charming lodge situated just outside Amboseli National Park, busy waterholes, and stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro⁣ ⁣ 🐴 𝐅𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐭 𝐌𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭 𝐊𝐞𝐧𝐲𝐚 𝐒𝐚𝐟𝐚𝐫𝐢 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐛, 𝐍𝐚𝐧𝐲𝐮𝐤𝐢: Luxury accommodation at the foot of Mount Kenya. Beautiful grounds and excellent views of Mount Kenya.⁣ ⁣ 🐆 𝐀𝐦𝐛𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐢 𝐁𝐮𝐬𝐡 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩: Rustic self-catering accommodation close to Amboseli National Park. Excellent wildlife viewing right on the property! We tracked cheetahs on foot with a Masaai guide and it was the most exhilarating experience!⁣ ⁣ Which ones are you adding to your to-stay list?⁣

From rustic campsites to elegant retreats, every stay was special and unforgettable in their own way ✨️⁣ ⁣ These are my favourite memories from the places listed here - in no particular order⁣ ⁣ 🌤𝐋𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐚 𝐖𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐰𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐋𝐨𝐝𝐠𝐞, 𝐊𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐮𝐥𝐮𝐦𝐢𝐫𝐚: falling asleep each night to the sound of rushing waters was the perfect lullaby and every sunrise here felt like a gift⁣. ⁣ 🦒𝐕𝐨𝐢𝐠𝐭𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐆𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞, 𝐖𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐡𝐨𝐞𝐤: a guesthouse with giraffes? Enough said! An excellent stay, beautiful sunsets, even more beautiful sunrises.⁣ ⁣ 🎈𝐋𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐇𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞, 𝐂𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐚𝐝𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚: pool views for days! Incredibly hospitable owners - this is what I remember the most about this place 💙⁣ ⁣ 🏕𝐍𝐖𝐑 𝐒𝐞𝐬𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐦 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐞: car camping here was a delight. Early entrance and late exit to Sossusvlei was a plus but the camp itself was great too!⁣ ⁣ 🍉𝐅𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐡𝐚 𝐇𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞, 𝐃𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐢: an incredibly joyful and romantic stay. A pastel paradise on the Kenyan coast.⁣ ⁣ 🐒𝐄𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐛𝐛𝐞 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐋𝐨𝐝𝐠𝐞: Surrounded by nature, a beautiful oasis in a busy city 🍃⁣ ⁣ 🥂𝐅𝐎𝐔𝐇𝐀 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧: A exceptionally welcoming guesthouse that feels a lot like home.⁣ ______ ⁣What I love most is how every stay left me with something to treasure. Big or small, simple or fancy, each one gifted me a core memory to cherish forever ♥️
