How to Plan a Fantastic Overnight Trip from Tokyo to Hakone

When visiting Japan for the first time, I highly recommend taking a trip from Tokyo to Hakone. This beautiful mountainous town, located about two hours from Japan’s capital city, is best known for its hot springs (onsen), boiling sulphur springs […]

#Europeansummer is nice, but shoulder season travel is really where it's at! πŸ‚ You get the hat trick of perks - great weather, great prices, fewer crowds! πŸ‡³πŸ‡¬ Since Nigerians need to apply for most visas at least 3 weeks in advance, I'm giving you a headstart to plan your shoulder season holidays in the coming months! πŸ—“ The best part? These months have public holidays, too. So, for my "9-5" people, you get more time off by taking fewer PTO! Happy Travels!

Here are my top recommendations for visiting Chiang Rai, Thailand... πŸ‡ΉπŸ‡ Chiang Rai: where art and nature combine. Many people visit this city as a day trip from Chiang Mai, but I recommend spending a few days here if you can afford the time. Some must-see spots include: 🀍 The White Temple (Wat Rong Khun) πŸ’™ The Blue Temple (Wat Rong Suea Ten) ❀️ The Red Temple (Wat Huay Pla Kang) Chiang Rai is home to many temples, so you don't have to restrict yourself to just these three, especially if you're looking for a less "touristy" experience. πŸ”₯ Beware of the burning season in Northern Thailand, which starts around late Feb and lasts until late April or May. Plan accordingly. Other things to add to your Chiang Rai itinerary include: πŸƒ Tea Plantation and Garden Visits 🍲 Food Markets.
